Blessings to all with travel plans and to absent friends.
There were lots of prayers surrounding research, exams, classes, and confidence/feeling competent. For new beginnings in work and in residence. Also prayers for family members in the waning years of life and their caregivers. For the middle eastern peoples and the many conflicts therein. For travels by members of our group and/or relatives thereof. For pastors and church communities. For conferences gathering for their annual meeting.
Please remember me and Michael, as we are traveling this week. On my mind: Grammy--in physical and emotional pain after her fall and broken hip Grandpa--fell again Friday but thankfully still no injuries to him Grampa--Alzheimer's Gram, who--bless her heart--is still orchestrating family events (while Grampa's still with us, I guess)
Michael's cousin, Lori, who is adopting a toddler (Alex) from Russia this month.
Prayer concerns for this week are listed below. Extend or elaborate as you wish. - Elderly members of our families with failing health - Those who have lost family members - Situational existential questions (Why am I here?) - Those dealing with stress related to work, research, school, transitions, and/or other stressors. - Those who are living alone - Those traveling - All who are dealing with the hazardous midwestern heat and humidity - Those who have had seizures. - Grateful to have the company of someone new to the group. - Cornerstone
I'm asking for prayers for a friend's father, who's having some difficulties. I pray for my friend, too, and her family.
From last week's dinner I remember we prayed for new marriages, school/work/living situations, those with poor health (especially cancer), and group members who for whatever reason couldn't be with us on that rainy night.
